Note that my reviews do not do price comparisons, I leave those judgements to the reader. Photographs may show the item combined with other products and simply reflect how I chose to use the product. The rating is made in the context of my personal requirements and desires.

The Sommerfeld catenary is rock solid high quality stuff. The metal poles are secured onto the baseboard with a nut that threads onto the pole from below. The over head wires need to be carefully soldered in place and painted a dark color to make them look thinner. One can power trains through them too although I have no intention of doing so.

The S-Bahn is the first to try out my first stretch of electrified track.
