12/10/2000 Backdrop mounting

To mount my Faller scenic backdrop I cut the sky off, then cut some 1/4" plywood slightly lower than the horizon. I then glued the backdrop to the plywood so that when it is mounted it creates a bit of a 3D effect.

here the plywood is cut ready to have the paper backdrop glued on.

I used rubber glue and held the backdrop down with old CD-ROMs etc.

This was a mistake because the CDs left dark rings where the glue did not dry at the same speed and I had to replace the center panel.

Also the rubber cement tends to let the paper peel off.
